SYDNEY/MELBOURNE

HELLO HELLO EVERYONE!
I am back from my holiday trip to Australia.
So this is the not-so-exciting-but-still-you-are-still-pretty-stoked-about-it-post.
Damn, that was a mouthful.
Anyway, be prepared to see a lot of my face and tons of amazing food!
So if you're hungry, I'd advise you to look away.
The only reason why I have been putting this post off for so long
is because I sent my Mac for upgrading.
And it has FINALLY returned to me!
MUAHAHAHAHA!

So I went on this trip with my mum, aunt, uncle, cousin and his girlfriend.
Main purpose of this trip?
TO HAVE AWESOME FUN.
And to attend my cousin's graduation since she is graduating from RMIT University.
It wasn't a tour kind of thing, my cousin just brought us here and there.
One thing. Their cabs are SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE.
In a jam, the meter jumps by $0.10 per 5 seconds.
On te road/highway, it jumps every 2 seconds.
I AM NOT KIDDING YOU.
It makes me appreciate Singapore cabs so much more.
Let's start out with day one...

DAY #1
So we had a night flight.
Not a very good choice since we flew on SQ,
I stayed up for the entire 7 hours watching movies.
When I landed, I had bloodshot eyes and I looked like a legit zombie.
So here's my mum and I waiting for my relatives.
You'll be seeing a lot of her too by the way.
Flight to Sydney.

Double chocolate peppermint christmas drink from Coffee Bean?
DON'T TRY IT.
I hate Coffeebean, only because i'll always be disappointed with their drinks.
I bought this drink, ASSUMING that Starbucks was outside and there was no way
I could get it.
ONLY TO REALIZE THAT STARBUCKS WAS 2 SHOPS AWAY.
A disappointing way to start my night?
I think so too.

As usual, SQ provides EXCELLENT food and service.
I LOVE SINGAPORE AIRLINES.

Our first stop was this pie shop, as you can see.
AND OH MY GOSH,
I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING ABOUT HOW AWESOME THEIR PIES ARE.
They have beef pies, pork pies, lamb pies, EVERYTHING.
Especially their key lime pie.
HEAVEN.
And their sweet potato fries.
It's tastes sweet and salty at the same time.
Sounds nice?
MEH, not really, but if you do try it....
Then you'll know what I mean.

SEE THAT ORANGEY BAKED TO PERFECTION FRIES?

This is the star of the day.
I swear I devoured more than half of this pie.
It is SOOOOO GOOD.

As if the pies weren't enough,
We had to go for gelato ice cream.
We had at least one serving PER DAY.
Listen up, PER DAY PEOPLE.

After which we checked in into our hotel.
It was small but cozy.
And I dont know about other people,
but I am the biggest scaredy cat when it comes to staying in a hotel room.
But surprisingly the hotels in Aussie don't give me that
"BAD ORA" feel.
I get that in almost all other hotel rooms.
Maybe it's my paranoia?

So we took a tour of the city area.
Darling Harbour.
It resembles Clarke Quay A LOT.
Having our "Tourist moment" while we snap group pictures.

Pancakes for dinner?
I dig that.
Just scroll down and tell me your mouth won't water.
JUST DO IT.

Doesn't it make you wanna eat it?
The dessert pancakes were the best part.
Strawberry pancakes and butterscotch pancakes?
Who wouldn't want some?

Some more "Tourist moments"

Some late night grocery shopping for breakfast
the next day before heading back to the hotel.

DAY #2
Instant oats and milk for breakfast because I like to feel healthy.
Off to Featherdale Wildlife Park.
I mean, you can't go got Australia and not see kangaroos right?
That would just be sick and wrong.

Pardon my "duck face" here.
Realisation that I cannot smile without showing my teeth,
Thanks to my braces.

Day two's outfit of the day?
BOOYEAH.
The rest of my OOTDs can be found on my instagram!

FEATHERDALE WILDLIFE PARK.
It's super cool.
Some of the animals are not caged and they can run about freely!
It's awesome beyond awesome.
And look, we even have a 'passport' to collect stamps along the way.
Each station has a stamping booth.
I think it's super innovative and it's super fun!

LOOK AT THE WOMBAT!
It looks like a freaking Pokemon right?
Too adorable!

Now this is what a call a sleeping ninja koala.
Look at that perfect sleeping position.
Super cute, yes?

The koala is too busy eating his food.
But at least he is facing the......side.
Good enough for me, at least he doesn't have his back facing the camera right?

OKAY. HOLD YOUR HORSES NOW.
WE CAUGHT A PICTURE OF THE JOEY'S HEAD!
It may seem easy to take,
but I camped there for a good 10 mins,
just to wait for it's head to pop up okay?
And they are super swift.
Which makes it all the more difficult to capture.
But alas, I got it!
Achievement?
I think so too.

Mini picnic time!

This picture is too artistic for me to handle.
Nice way to self praise?

This picture of the goat took guts to take.
It was brisk walking straight into my camera.
And when I say brisk walk, I mean he saw it as something to eat.

The wool of this small sheep is
UBERLY SOFT AND WARM!
I just want to hug it to sleep!

Afro-headed chicken?
Yes please.

This picture above, signals the end of the park.
But fear not,
for it also signals the start of LUNCH!
Okay, I'm a fatty.
You'd probably guessed that by now.

After lunch, we headed down to the
BLUE MOUNTAINS.
Pretty cool place.
Very nature-ish.
Plus we got a mini peek of how coal mines look like years ago.

DAWWWWW, I LOVE MY MUM! <3

Do I look like I have a crown on my head?
HAHAHA, okay that was lame.

Isn't this a nice way to get people to buy PONCHOS.
Marketing strategy, WIN.

Just a happy me, after a long day.
Chilling on my bed.

DAY #3
By far one of my favourite days in Sydney.
Because of the awesome FISH MARKET!
I know I sound like a typical auntie now but their fish market is too good!
Not wet at all, extremely clean,
and they have the freshest array of seafood imaginable.
A little part of me cried when I left.
The sashimi was SOOOOO GOOOOD!
You'd expect such good sashimi from Japan,
but here, it's as good!

My staple shoes throughout the entire trip.
cant believe I almost sold these babies away!

Our OOTD!
Hehehehehehehe, my mum is too cute!

SYDNEY FISH MARKET!
Heavenly place!

CHECK OUT THE ARRAY OF FISH!
And it is not at all expensive!
For all that we bought,
6 fresh oysters,
4 big head prawns
1 box of sea urchin
1 tray of salmon
1 try of yellow tail
only cost us 60 bucks!
And it is super duper fresh, i regretted not buying more.
That's how good it is.

Next up, we took a ferry to Manly Beach.
It wasn't exactly Manly.
No idea where it got it's name from though.
Had some coffee and shopped around just a tad bit.

My cousin took this unglam shot of me sleeping.
My relatives went to a Casino nearby so I just napped at the hotel.
Not sure if being underaged is a good or bad thing.
HMMMMM.

Okay so because we're too cool and eating western food
is too mainstream, we had Japanese food in Australia.
I'm just kidding,
my uncle missed Asian food so we had to compromise.
But no matter, the Japanese food was legit and super good too.

I know it sounds stupid, so we had this grilled burgers for
dinner on the second day.
But I didnt take any pictures because I was too hungry
(Fatty moment)
and the food was SUPER GOOD!
And they are quite creative.
They had a chandelier made up of spatulas.
Pretty damn awesome.

DAY #4
Time to say goodbye to Sydney and Hello to Melbourne.
Morning flight, only for 2 hours.
Im chilling out in the airport with shades because I'm too cool for...
indoor lighting.
Just kidding, I just didnt have my contacts on and
i'm an insecure bitch who can't face the world without contact lenses.

We booked a serviced apartment!
How awesome is that?
SUPER!
Self answering my own question? Cool.
But no, seriously, it is super nice!
Has a kitchen and all.

After checking in,
We went for some Mexican food.
CHACHACHAAAA.
As usual, it was good!
Spicy as hell, but good.
I think by the end of the post you'll be sick of reading about
how good the food is.
But I dont care.
Because........
it's THAT good.

Walking around the city,
feeling the christmas sprit only.
Taking pictures with giant toy soldiers and christmas trees all.

Although I look extremely fugly in this picture,
I just want to highlight how cute my mum looks.
She only did that because she didn't want the picture to be
an unglam and candid one.
Okay, moving on.....

SOOOOO MUCH LOOOOVE!

The wine in Australia is DIRT CHEAP.
Like the cheapest I saw was $1.99 for a bottle of red wine.
And according to my mum and aunt,
it's not too bad for cheap wine.

See my mum trying to get hold of the wine?
Yeah, my mum is a red wine junkie.

WHO DARES TELL ME MY MUM IS NOT CUTE?!
Just look at this picture!
HAHAHAH! OMG?!

Gotta take a picture with le abstract art.
I just had to.

Some more ice cream and some tea to end the day.

DAY #5
All day breakfast, in the morning, for breakfast?
Yeah, it's awesome.
Can't you already tell from the powered sugar dusted on top of the pancakes?
BACON.
POACHED EGGS.
AVOCADO.
TOMATO.
Mind you, I'm not a tomato eater, by ANY MEANS.
But Australian tomatoes are an exception.
They taste nothing like Singapore tomatoes.
They are just amazing.
Probably the only tomatoes I'll ever eat.

Afterwards, QUEEN VICTORIA MARKET.
Another heavenly place for my auntie side.
The fruits and vegetables are super fresh!
And not t mention, cheap.
The people there are so hyper,
shouting everywhere, here and there.
Our sole purpose,
to buy ingredients to cook dinner ourselves that night.
My mum, aunt, and myself, got super carried away and started buying everything
that looked good.
Without thinking about how we are going to cook them and all.
But not to worry, we didnt waste any food.

Does this picture remind you of Twilight?
I bet it does.
Don't deny!

The journey begins.
And it starts with my mum chopping up some parmesan cheese
because the apartment didnt have a cheese grater.
See what I mean by not planing ahead when we where grocery shopping?

White button mushrooms bitches!
My specialty.
CHEHHHH,
Just kidding!

Okay, my womanly side, right here.
Typically in the kitchen, roasting something in the oven.

LE CHEFS.
(Yeah yeah, insert all the sexist jokes here)

Drinking soup out of a cup because a spoon can only hold that much soup.
Hipster? I think so too.
Does anyone else drink their soup like this?

DAY #6
Ending the previous day with food.
And starting today with food too.
Since we are all-day-breakfast junkies,
my cousin brought us to another famous breakfast restaurant.
As usual, awesome food pictures.
Day of graduationnnnn!
DANG DANG DANGGGG.

After breakfast, we went back so that my aunt and mum can
get all pretty and stuff for the graduation.
Turned out being pretty casual.
HAHAHAHA.

OH YES, BEFORE I FORGET.
I have to thank my cousin's girlfriend for her wifi gadget.
It was a life saver!
Couldn't have texted/twitted/instagrammed without this baby.

So sweet of my cousin's boyfriend!
He flew to Melbourne to attend her graduation.
They look super cute together too!

Le proud parents.
HEHEHEHE.

DAY #7
My favourite day of Melbourne has got to be today.
The places we visited were awesome!
First up, a small honey farm.
Almost scared my pants off there.
One reason,
I AM TERRIFIED OF BEES.
Like crazy scared of them.
Anyway, we learnt some cool fun facts about bees.
Did you know that only the female bees collect the honey?
And the only purpose of the male bees,
is to mate with the Queen bee.
Does the Queen bee sounds like a slut to you?
She does to me.

HONEY TASTING.

Heading over to a mini winery.
Which didnt turn out to be so mini after all.

ISN'T IT PRETTY?!
AND IT'S SUPER HUGE!
All the different grapes and all.

Step one model shoot only.
HAHAHAHA.

Awkward picture when my cousin and his girlfriend are in the background.

Tourist pictures, as usual.

My cousin and I trying to mimic the statue.
Which one of us is better?
Okay, too damn joke!

Fine dining for lunch because the pizza place was closed?
HELL NO.
I am not a fine dining sort of person.
I want my food in big portions and on my table fast.
Not some fancy smancy stuff.
But no matter, I filled my stomach up not through lunch but through....

STRAWBERRY PICKING!

Isn't it cool?
You get to pick your own strawberries and you can just eat them on the spot.
That is if you dare to eat unwashed strawberries.
Had an awesome time there!
Oh, and just so you guys know, my fly was open.
So in certain pictures,
my pants werent zipped up.
So please refrain yourself from laughing.

On to cherry picking!
Felt like a farm folk at that point of time.
It was a wonderful experience.

And again, free eating!
It was drizzling but we didnt care.
Honestly, $10 entry for all you can eat cherries.
Who wouldn't want that?

Dinner at a local pizza place.
Their pizzas are unbeatable!
Made from scratch and super authentic.

My cousin's girlfriend knows the owner.
He is super friendly and cute.
Even greeted her with a kiss on the cheek.
He made us a pizza that was off the menu, just for us.
And it was on the house!
Love love love the food there!

Last stop before heading back,
a high class chocolate shop.
With super expensive truffles and all.

Just because I am too damn hipster,
if you guys have not realised that by now,
I ordered chilli hot chocolate.
WOW.
Amazing isn't even worthy to be used to describe it.
If any of you have a chance to try it,
I URGE YOU TO.

Okay, last thing.
I saw this cool ass thing.
It's a tramp.
To me, a crossbreed between a train and a bus.
It's like a train in a sense of the structure and everything.
Even runs on a track.
BUTTTTTTT,
It's on the road.
Like with cars and shit.
MINDBLOWN.

DAY #8
Last day, before our afternoon flight,
we couldnt get enough of the market.
So we went there early in the morning to buy some food to
bring back to Singapore.
Their blue cheese there is AMAZING!
Plus it's super duper cheap!
I bought 3 different types of blue cheeses.
Satisfied?
YES.

So I hope you guys enjoyed this super long post!
Took me about 3 hours total to upload everything and type everything.
So can I get a WHOOP WHOOP?
Thanks for sticking to me until the end of this post.
Australia was overall,
EXTREMELY GOOD.
Like I loved almost everything there.
Anddddddd, guess who picked me up from the airport?
Hehehehe, my sister, dad, and boyfriend!
Although I forced him to.
BUT STILL,
he came and that's all that matters right?
Okay, stay tuned loves!
Now that i'm back i'll be posting more often.
Follow me on twitter & instagram people!
Xoxo.
